The BlackBerry Curve (8300/8310/8320/8330/8350) is available in a variety of models and carriers. It is now one of the longest running models, having gone through several OS upgrades and color changes. There are slight variations with cameras and GPS, but the heart and soul is the same between all the models.

The BlackBerry Storm (9530) came out as Research in Motion’s (RIM) answer to 2007’s invention of the year – the Apple iPhone. The Storm is exclusive on the Verizon network, but has since come and gone without making any substantial cut into the iPhone frenzy. If you are dead set, however, on getting a touch screen phone, and love the BlackBerry operating system and functionality, this is the only way to go until October 2009 with the release of the Storm 2.

The BlackBerry Bold (9000) arrived with much anticipation in November 2008 as a high-class upgrade from the Curve. The Bold has a much-improved optical system compared to the Curve, and has a smooth, sleek vinyl battery cover. It has increased storage capacities and one really great feature called visual voicemail where you can scroll through your voicemail on a visual interface. Right now the Bold is found exclusively with AT&T/Cingular.

The BlackBerry Tour (9630) was launched in June 2009 as RIM’s latest non-touch screen, full QWERTY keyboard smartphone for CDMA carriers (Verizon, Sprint, etc.). The Tour is like the Blackberry Bold, and Blackberry Curve 8900 rolled into one. It has an almost identical operating system, similar features, display and look to the GSM versions.
